Eric Halsne – Patent Attorney and Member
Over the past decade, Mr. Halsne has been creating, obtaining and enforcing patent rights for high tech industry. He has drafted and prosecuted numerous U.S. and International patent applications relating to medical devices, aerospace safety systems, and security systems. He has documented advances in such fields as cardiac defibrillation, ultrasound imaging, micro-machined sensors, aircraft collision avoidance, black box flight data recorders, and oilfield services equipment.
Since passing the Washington State Bar Exam in 2010, Mr. Halsne has formed Halsne Law, PLLC, which provides all types of intellectual property services to its clients.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Halsne held patent-related positions in Philips Healthcare and Honeywell International. As an engineering team leader at International Paper, he developed projects in green technologies and in manufacturing process improvements.
Mr. Halsne began his career as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy, where he supervised operations, overhauls, and maintenance of nuclear-power propulsion systems.
Eric has two daughters, at least one of which shares his enjoyment of all things outdoors, such as canoeing, fishing, camping and many sports.
